On July 1, 2025 we moved to a “mission field” model, serving the Lord together as members of three parishes with one team of three priests. As Jesus’ followers in the parishes of Chisholm, Hibbing, and Buhl, we will share a mission together and accentuate each other’s strengths. Our vision, as Bishop Felton explains, is to lead and accompany all people to Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God, no matter where we are in the journey of life. Needing to collaborate as parishes to share strengths, and needing to deal with a shortage of priests, is where we are in the journey of life. We have already launched some shared mission initiatives over the past few years and now we are being called to work more as one family of faith. With our parish patrons being Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we will be the Holy Family Mission Field. Together may we bring the healing, hope, and joy only Jesus can give to others!

The Iron Range Motorcycle Club Charity Ride raised $5500 for the Family Life Center! What an incredible act of generosity for the betterment of families in the community. Fr. Bill helped coordinate this charity event. Wonderful things happen when we work together!
Welcome Fr. Peter Akudugu
Welcome Fr. Peter Akudugu! Fr. Peter grew up in Garu, Upper East Region of Ghana, in a close-knit Catholic family. Initially trained and employed as a registered nurse, his vocation to the priesthood was rekindled through service at a retreat center. He later joined the seminary in Ghana and continued his formation at the St. Paul Seminary in Minnesota. Ordained in 2012, Fr. Peter has served as a priest for twelve years and is passionate about journeying with others in their faith, primarily through listening, celebrating the sacraments, and meaningful personal connections.
He values daily encounters with God, sees each day as a gift, and enjoys both adventure and soccer. Though he admits to being sometimes timid about new things, he is eager to grow, even exploring Minnesota sports like hockey. Grateful to be part of this Mission Field, he looks forward to evangelizing and serving with joy, hope, and generosity. Please keep Fr. Peter in your prayers and give him a warm Blessed Sacrament welcome. God is good!
The Church mourns the terrible suffering of Christians and other innocent victims of violence in Gaza and surrounding areas who are struggling to survive, protect their children, and live with dignity in dire conditions.
